Race Details

• Date: December 2027. The official race day will be announced once finalized with the City of St. Petersburg.
• Distance: Full marathon only, 26.2 miles. There is no half marathon or 5K.
• Start line: Vinoy Park, 701 Bayshore Drive NE, on the downtown waterfront.
• Start time: 6 AM, with a 6 hour time limit (12 PM cutoff, about 13:44 per mile).
• Course: Fast and flat with about 57 feet of total elevation gain. See the full course page for details.
• Certification: The course is undergoing official USATF certification.
• Championship: Home of the 2027 USATF Florida Association Marathon Open and Masters Championships.

December in St. Pete means average highs near 72 and cool race morning temperatures. Pair that with a waterfront course that gains about 57 feet over 26.2 miles and you have one of the fastest setups in the Southeast for a personal best.

The course runs waterfront loops out and back, which means your family and friends can cheer for you multiple times from a single spot. Final course maps publish after city approval.

How much does it cost to register?

Ultra Early Bird entry is $89 for a limited time. Pricing increases in stages as race weekend approaches, so the earlier you register the less you pay.

Is there a half marathon or 5K?

No. The St. Pete Marathon is a full marathon only, 26.2 miles.

When exactly is the race?

December 2027. The official race day will be announced once it is finalized with the City of St. Petersburg, and registered runners will be the first to know.

Where does the race start?

Vinoy Park at 701 Bayshore Drive NE in downtown St. Petersburg, right on the waterfront.

Can I run a Boston qualifying time here?
